Purdey and Gambit defeat the pursuing machine by sending it down a long stairwell, where the fall destroys the robot and separates its head.

Soldiers shoot R.I.N.G. down
Threatened by armed troops, R.I.N.G.'s behaviour destabilises and it attacks until a soldier shoots the robot in the chest and brings it down.
Questor is shot and partially repaired
A British soldier machine-guns Questor in a park. The damaged android returns to the project laboratory, where Robinson carries out a partial repair before the search continues.
The life mask is torn away
During the final fight the robot's human face mask comes off, revealing its mechanical internal face and ending the human disguise.
Steve destroys the robot
Steve drives the exposed android onto a girder during the climactic fight, destroying Mister X.
Acid destroys the Gunslinger’s normal vision
Peter ambushes the Gunslinger in the robot-repair area and throws hydrochloric acid into its face. The robot remains operational, but the damage destroys its normal visual system and forces it to rely on infrared.
The burned Gunslinger finally shuts down
After Peter sets the already damaged Gunslinger on fire, the charred robot continues moving and attacking before finally succumbing to its accumulated damage and shutting down.
Alpha 12 is repaired after damage
The damaged hunter android is restored with help from the Robinsons' Robot before resuming the pursuit.

Craig shows Todd Diane's severed hand, complete with her wedding ring, as physical proof that the apparently human woman is actually one of Dr. Goldfoot's robots.
Android bodies shatter under damage
Several human-looking duplicates are exposed when impacts break their artificial bodies. A duplicate's head shatters on the floor, while another damaged android loses an arm during escape.
Adam is smashed to scrap while saving a child
Adam breaks free to push a child out of the path of an oncoming vehicle and is destroyed by the impact.
Alan's damaged wrist exposes machinery
After being struck by a car, Alan opens a wound in his wrist and discovers wires, blinking components and springs instead of human tissue.
A spring in Maxo's arm breaks
During a pre-fight test, an internal arm spring fails and the robot can no longer enter the bout.

Unable to tolerate the machine becoming increasingly like her uncle, Barbara attempts to kill it but fails.
