ASFR Content
The remake makes the programming conflict explicit. Dr. Link is under pressure to convert Adam into a military weapon and attempts to overwrite the robot's central programming, effectively lobotomising him. Adam reacts violently during the attempted rewrite and later has no memory of the incident. Authorities prepare to dismantle him until attorney Thurman Cutler forces a legal hearing. After the court recognises Adam as a person, the robot sacrifices itself to save the prosecutor from being struck by a vehicle.
