In 'Presence', a toy-maker builds a human-looking female cyborg/automaton. When she develops a personality beyond what he programmed, he panics and smashes her. Years later he returns to find her damaged remains still in the workshop. The anthology also contains the cyborg-focused segment 'Deprive'.
