In a near-future Los Angeles, detective Bobby Mann is assigned a new partner, Sgt. Eve Edison, a sophisticated human-looking gynoid police officer. Across nine episodes the mismatched detectives solve crimes while Eve learns more about human behaviour and develops increasingly complex emotions.
