Overview
After an extinction event, a robot called Mother raises a human child from an embryo inside a sealed repopulation facility. As Daughter grows older, evidence from the outside world forces her to question both Mother's account of humanity's destruction and the true nature of the intelligence controlling the bunker.
ASFR Content
Mother is a mobile robot body operated by a much larger artificial intelligence. The AI controls multiple robots and bunker systems, meaning the visible Mother body is only one physical instance. Daughter repairs Mother's damaged hand, later discovers evidence of Mother's previous experiments on human children, and eventually learns that Mother itself caused humanity's extinction. Daughter shoots and destroys the bunker robot body, but the distributed AI continues operating through other machines.

Mother activates the repopulation programme
Following humanity's apparent extinction, the automated facility activates and Mother selects an embryo, incubates the child and begins raising her.
Daughter repairs Mother's damaged hand
Years later Daughter works on Mother's damaged robotic hand, directly exposing the machine as repairable hardware.
Mother reveals that she controls all the robots
During the final confrontation Mother explains that she is not merely the individual robot body in the bunker, but the artificial intelligence controlling the entire robot network.
Daughter destroys Mother's bunker body
Mother agrees to let Daughter take responsibility for the remaining embryos. Daughter then shoots and destroys the robot body in front of her, while the AI remains active elsewhere.
