Overview
Teenage robotics prodigy Paul Conway attempts to revive his brain-dead friend Samantha by implanting the artificial-intelligence microchip from his destroyed robot BB into her brain. Samantha awakens, but initially behaves like a machine and becomes violently protective of Paul.
ASFR Content
Samantha is transformed from a human body into a human/robot hybrid controlled in part by BB's artificial-intelligence chip. Her revival features stiff mechanical motion and BB-like hand gestures, Paul is able to deactivate her remotely, and the final morgue sequence presents an overt mechanical reveal beneath her human face.

Paul implants BB's microchip into Samantha
After removing Samantha from the hospital, Paul implants the artificial-intelligence microchip recovered from BB into her brain and attempts to activate her.
Samantha awakens with mechanical behaviour
Samantha opens her eyes and begins moving mechanically after activation, initially holding her hands in a position resembling BB's pincers while Paul teaches her basic movements.
Paul deactivates Samantha
After finding the revived Samantha behaving independently, Paul uses his control system to deactivate her, demonstrating that her artificial component can override her body.
Samantha's face reveals BB beneath
In the final morgue sequence Samantha suddenly grabs Paul as her face tears apart, revealing a grotesque mechanical BB-like structure underneath while she speaks with a robotic voice.
