Overview
On a colonised Mars, police officers Naomi Armitage and Ross Sylibus investigate a killer targeting women who are secretly Third Type androids, artificial people so convincing that the public does not know they have been living among them.

The Third Types are advanced female androids designed to be essentially indistinguishable from human women. Armitage herself is revealed as a Third. The film includes damaged Third bodies, public exposure of android identities, Armitage being deliberately deactivated for hardware modification and the revelation that Thirds can reproduce.
