So how do I get access to the FTP?!
The person who runs this site also runs the FTP server- she posted in "Admin" that she will be posting the connection details here in the next few days in a locked forum- I think you will need to PM her to get the details.
(I would DM you the details, but they aren't mine to share)
Alright, the sampled and added to version is on its way to the ftp now. Be gentle with your critiques, I know I had a lot of nerve trying to improve on the Mona Lisa.
Hi Fection! It was creators like you who i had in mind when i added the video upload option. Hosting sites like YouTube simply cant be trusted anymore after what they done to your upload on YouTube.
Ok. My critique of the video that was introduced way back when this conversation started.
1) Um ... sexual what? I've seen more sexual content in a Let's Play than this.
2) While Doctor Fletcher's skin switched from a sort of red headed mottled look (very nice and natural, by the way), it would lose that in certain long shots. GO AI! Am I right? Nicely done, still! The clothing, voices, and characters remained consistent. That's still hard to do, even with AI's ability to not drift increasing. There was also no artifacting that I could see (objects appearing, disappearing, morphing)
3) The lip syncing with the words - Fantastic!
4) The plot is typical Fection... And I laughed through it all once I saw where the setup was going. Whether you loosely prompted the short or hard-core curated, kudos! Again, it never drifted or jumped the shark (Eeeeeeehhhh!)
A couple of points of observation that lent well to the story ...
It opened with Candy typing at a keyboard, and yet the spreadsheet was blank.
When the camera showed what she (it) wrote on the notepad, only a doctor would be able to make it out.
The assessment about YT ... yeah. Already, they're losing favor with the general populous.
In all ... Fection ... Welcome back and I hope we see more of your work! You are a true artist!
Ha! I'm glad you noticed those details. It was, I assure you, heavily curated and AI has some way to go in actually following a prompt without introducing assumed associative behaviour that was usually weirder than what I was asking for!
Another tiny easter egg; the remote has a sticker saying this particular Candy was 'refurbed' in 06/28. Just so you know.
So yeah, maybe I was a bit TOO excited about the response it might get, but the overall response was pretty resoundingly disappointing. I think I might even have fallen out with someone, which is never my intention.
There was a comment or two saying Angela looked dead in the eyes, but those shots where that might be said to be happening, I'm seeing her restraining herself to calmly execute a plan forming in her head. I guess it's a matter of seeing what you want to see. There didn't seem to be a lot of scope for people changing their minds, which maybe is a sign of our times.
It's unfortunate that many will view AI-assisted creative works only through a certain political lens. I think everybody here at this new place appreciates this great video clip for what it is, and anyone who's tried making consistent videos, images, or music with the help of AI knows how much work, attention, and frustration can go into getting things to turn out right. I'm personally extremely grateful for the work you put into this latest video.
AI technology will improve; it's the way any sort of development goes. It'll improve and improve until something better comes along.
Whatever technical details might cause some people issues, that it can be done with this technology should be the primary thing that matters.
It allows people to develop their own creative skills in a certain forum, which is always a good thing.
