Overview

An unfinished robotic police prototype is accidentally activated before its higher reasoning functions are complete and begins executing minor offenders under an inflexible prime directive.

ASFR Content

R.O.T.O.R. is intended as an autonomous judge-and-executioner but is released years before its programming is ready. It cannot reconsider its prime directive, so a routine traffic stop becomes a murder and the machine relentlessly pursues a witness. The final battle tears open its chest and exposes its power core before explosives destroy it.
