Overview

Peter is plagued by visions of an invasion that appears to threaten his human family. During the attack he discovers that the apparent alien soldiers are humans and that Peter, Alice and their children are actually synthetic people who erased their own memories after an earlier war.

ASFR Content

The film's central reveal completely reverses the human/android roles. Alice's abdominal injury exposes artificial internal construction. To save her, Peter cuts open his own chest and discovers the same synthetic anatomy. The family had deliberately wiped their memories so they could live as humans without remembering the war that drove biological humanity off Earth.
