Overview
On a remote space station in 2036, Dr. Daniel secretly continues an illegal android programme with his human-looking assistant Max 404 while developing a newer female android, Cassandra One. The arrival of escaped prisoners destabilises the station and pushes Max toward rebellion.

Android centres on multiple human-looking artificial beings. Max 404 initially passes for human to the visitors, Cassandra One is activated as a new female android, and the story ultimately reveals that Dr. Daniel himself is also an android. Cassandra activates in Dr. Daniel's laboratory. Her appearance and behaviour make clear that she is a newly completed human-looking female android.
