Overview
Rommie meets Gabriel, a humanoid android survivor who is eventually revealed to be the avatar of the hostile sentient warship Balance of Judgment.

Gabriel is compelled by his parent AI to sabotage Andromeda even after developing independent feelings. Harper physically burns out Gabriel's communications hardware, while the Balance secretly uses him to infect Rommie with invasive programming. Dylan orders an emergency AI shutdown to stop the leak. Rommie later destroys Gabriel after discovering that a copy of the Balance's core personality has been forced into him, then asks Dylan to dismantle her own avatar and erase her personality files out of fear that she may also become unstable.

When a copy of the Balance's core personality is found inside him, Rommie shoots Gabriel rather than allow the hostile AI to take control.
Rommie asks to be dismantled
Traumatised by the incident, Rommie asks Dylan to dismantle her android avatar and erase her personality files; he refuses.
