Overview

The Red Dwarf crew answers a distress call from the crashed Nova 5 and discovers that the only survivor is the service android Kryten.

ASFR Content

Kryten has continued serving three dead officers because he is programmed only to perform domestic duties and has not emotionally processed their deaths. Lister brings him aboard Red Dwarf and deliberately encourages him to break his servile programming, eventually prompting the mechanoid to rebel against Rimmer's orders and leave to seek an independent life.
