The Doctor realises the apparent village of Devesham is artificial and that the Sarah Jane travelling with him is an android duplicate.

The Kraals construct human-looking android copies of people they plan to replace on Earth. The strongest ASFR moment comes at the cliffhanger: the Doctor proves the woman beside him is not the real Sarah, knocks away her weapon, and the duplicate falls. Her human face mask comes away and exposes the staring mechanical face and circuitry beneath.
